Dear Friends, MY visa was applied on Sept 2014.. now its my 11th week running after my visa has been applied. And the status in moi.gov.qa says my APPLICATION IS UNDER PROCESS. Now I have been sitting jobless expecting that job for past 2.5 months. Am I supposed to wait for few morw days expecting this job or try other opportunities. Does it normally take how much time to process a visa? and what might be the reason its taking all this time. after my company gave me the job offer they told I would get my visa in 15days. and now after I spoke with them several times they are telling me to wait for few more days everytime I call them. . please help me clear my mind . THANK YOU PEOPLE.

@Cheerful, not sure how you can say to enjoy his/her time without any job! he/she must be in a panic state.

@PPNRAJU, generally it wont take this much to process the work visa...it gets done in less than 2 weeks time and its completely depends on the sponsor weightage in qatar. If its a govt. company which you have received the job...ur visa would have been issued by now. else, its completely your company/sponsor which need to visit MOI for processing your visa.

I would suggest you to stay positive and ask your HR to check...at the same time...try for alternative as well. Because, here in qatar they have a quota limit...if you are from India..then the quota is already over for this year and it will not get processed till next year.
