You need to cancel your work visa in UAE or else the work visa you have now can not be formally processed.

U may come to qatar without cancelling your UAE Visa. Qatar immigration will also issue u an RP, provided you pay a fine/fees of 5000 qar. Thats why qatar companies insist on employees to cancel their UAE visas..as companies generally wont pay this fine.

If you are willing to pay this..i guess ur company wont have issues..check with ur company in qatar.

You can very well enter Qatar on work visa, but before going for a resident visa you need to cancel UAE visa or any GCC visa in this case

No...if your intention is only to visit Qatar. I accepted an offer here in Qatar while working in UAE, while processing my work visa, the Immigration Department requires me to cancel my UAE work visa before they will issue my Work Visa....
