Will I be penalized for the delay of sponsorship tranfer?

Hello everyone, I'm Joseph. I'm very anxious about my visa situation, here's the story:

My working visa has been renewed last june,09 (expires in 2010). after a week I got another job, my sponsor provided an NOC and processed everything in the ministry (whichever,i'm not certain) to release under their sponsorship to new the company. the new company asked for a police clearance and they will give me visa.but the problem is, i'm expecting to get it this december, which means i'm 6 months delayed. The first company said that i dont have a visa anymore because they already gave an NOC, im so confused because i still have my ID that says i'm under them.

Will i be penalized because of this? if so, how much is the fine?

Please enlighten me. Thanks

Hello,

You should check the below with your current sponsor:

1- Have they canceled your Qatari Residencepermit or not?

2- Did they apply for transfer sponsorship?

If the company had canceled your RP, then you must have the cancelation stamp in your passport. If no then your RP is valid untill 2010.

If the company have applied for transfer sponsorship which i do not think it happened because the new sponsor should sign the forms of transfer sponsorship aswell. Just check it with them and if they said yes, then ask them for the receipt of applying for the transfer.

If nothing of this, then they are still your sponsor. and you do not have to pay penalty, but if they canceled your RP then you should have left within one week from the day of cancelation otherwise you should pay penalty.

Regards,
