This is a guide for those working in Qatar, and get married to a girl sponsored by her father.

List of requirements:

Husband

  • Copy of passport, RP and QID
  • Stamped copy of marriage contract
  • Salary Certificate
  • 6 months bank statement
  • Copy of work contract
  • Commercial registration copy of sponsoring company
  • No objection letter
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of highest academic degree (e.g. university certificate)

Wife

  • Copy of passport, RP and QID for wife
  • Copy of birth certificate

Wife's father

  • No objection letter
  • Copy of wife's father QID

Notes:

  1. Husband must apply personally, and have his QID as well as wife's father QID (they double check signatures)
  2. Sponsorship form can be found on MOI's website, which should be signed by husband, wife and her father
  3. Sponsrship form fields must be typed (not handwritten). A typewriter is available in the petrol station behind main immigration office
  4. You have to apply in main immigration office in Al Gharraffa opposite to Souq Al Ali. Branches will tell you to go there. Application submission is in Gate 3, a week later (hopefully accepted), you can update Wife's QID/RP in Gate 4.

Why did I write this? To make your lives easier and avoid what I had to go through. Don't forget me in your prayers ^^

Regards, Omar Shaath

No need of rental agreement? Also, they don't require RP application form?
