To fully avail of the allowed six months stay out of the country, when should the dependent return if they left on Dec. 2, 2010?

Thanks, guys. Just want to make sure that it is not yet expired if they come back on 15 May. Some people just have to stay longer when they go on vacation to attend to some important matters that concerns them like business ventures, investment, etc. You have to prepare yourself before you leave Qatar for good because majority of expats will all go home even if they want to stay here longer.

Count 180 days after the departure date was stamp to the passport. Or pay QR500 extention in the airport immigration to extend the expiration.

I dont understand why do most people come back exactly on the 180th day of their exit. There is still confusion if the immigration counts dates using Islamic calender or the Georgian one.

Always come back a couple of weeks earlier to avoid any hassles.
