That is what I earlier mentioned, here in Qatar I think the validity of the Job Visa is tied to the visa approval from the government.
For getting an employee company should 1st request to the government that they want an (or a set of) employee(s) of so n so nationality to work for so n so profession and if government approves it, then only they can select a person according to that criteria and apply for his visa. So, as far as I know, the 1st approval has a validity and the visa issued using that approval is valid for that period, but I think, it can be extended by submitting another application. So best way is tell your new employer from Qatar about your 45 days notice and they will arrange provisions for that,
and when you have your visa you can see the validity (exact date till it is valid) printed on it clearly.
Suppose my company issues me a visa which is 30 days valid to enter qatar then how can i complete my notice period of 45 days in my present job and then join the company in qatar? I want to know whether the job visa my company issues to me will be 30 days valid or 60 days valid or 90 days valid ? (Normally visa is valid in multiples of 30 days)
In this case you are directly hired from your country, that when you get in qatar, the company brings you to NHA for medical, after that you will be having finger printing. with your question on how long will it take you to enter qatar, that would depend with the company on how long will it take them to process a visa for you.
mine was for exactly 157 days from the date of issue.. i think it is based on the 1st approval for the visa from the government. (your company's VP-200X-XXXXX no)
Usually and based on my own experience I had maximum 30 days after issued to enter Qatar and while paperwork was being made my Entry permit was 3 months valid (which is similar to a 3 months probation period). Once you get into the country the company you work for should take you to medical comission and then to police authorities in order to get the RP (residence permit), and after that you can get driving license, credit cards, bank loans, etc etc etc.

I want to clarify my question :

Anyway it is printed clearly in the Visa.
