Hi,

It will be much appreciated if someone knowledgable would advice on the matter related to the procedures of extension if your spouse doesn't return in within 6 months of the last exit from Qatar.
I've been informed from my office to collect a form from the airport immigration office and pay a extension fee of QAR 500.
Is that all it needs or there are formalities which I might need to follow.
Thanks for yoru time and consideration.

Thanks Bijoy for your query. I have a valid reason and that being my wife's pregnancy and she's unfit to travel.

Hope that will help

No need to bring any certificate, this is only applied for family visa holders. Make sure she have valid visa until she returns.

Khattak is right. But, small correction. You have to pay QAR 500/- in the counter using your card. They will give you a re-entry visa with entry date extended to 1 year. You cannot extend beyond 1 year.

That's right. Just take your original QID & the copy of your spouse's passport with visa. Fill up the form, attach the payment receipt for QR 500 and submit with the immigration.

I hope nothing has changed in the rules lately.
