what are the options for my wife to take her own visa with her educational qualifications?

pLS help....

I got a job as an Engineer in qatar with a 7k salary and my company doesnt provide visa for my family . I am planning to bring my wife and son to qatar .I heard from a friend that it is possible to apply for technical visa for persons with engineering background . mY wife is a Degree holder in Computer Engineering (Btech INDIA), Is there any visa in qatar so that she can have an independant visa .

my long term plans are to bring her in and look a job for her ..i heard it will be easier for her to switch jobs if she is in her own technical visa.

pls advice

Hi Nazar,

As far as iam aware, there is nothing like technical visa.

Your wife can start applying for jobs from india and try to get it from home itself else you can get her a visit visa through which she can come to qatar and attend interviews and get a job.

However, it is difficult to find a job in IT in qatar.

I have been serching for IT job from past 5months [ i am also a BE with 5yrs of exp]from India but so far nothing. By allah's grace i have got a resident permit now and will have to try serching the job locally in doha.

I'm afraid that having a bachelor's degree in computers does not make one an engineer. She can apply for a job in Qatar from India or come on a visit visa and apply for work. Please remember that if her salary is less than 10,000 she cannot bring your son.
