Hi,

Me and my family just returned from a road trip to UAE and Oman last week, only thing required before hand is KSA transit visas and nothing else at the Qatar Border, UAE and Oman grants visa to GCC residents (depending on your profession) on the borders. U need not worry about your car being on bank loan and all, the car registration should be in your name, thats all they look for. You drive first to Dubai/Abu Dhabi, from Dubai you need to drive around 100+ kms to the Hatta border, once you enter Oman you need to look for road signs of SOHAR and MUSCAT. Muscat is approx. 350 kms from the border. PM me if you need further details. Thanks

you got to go via Saudi and UAE to Oman.I know the procedures to UAE, beyond that it must be the same procedure.

First get a no objection letter from Sponsor in Arabic. Then submit your passport to Saudi Embassy for transit visa. then go to Customs office in Corniche to get a car pass to take the car beyond the Qatar border. If your car is mortgaged, then get a clearance from the bank. This bank letter will be required at Customs office.

UAE and Oman will give you visa on arrival, if you are eligible as per the profession in your ID card.

It is not so difficult to get all these.. There are agents who will hel you get the Suadi visa and car clearance.

enjoy and make sure to travel before the summer sets in..
