Visit Visa for blood relatives

The Immigration Office near the Airport used to issue Visit visas for children and other blood relatives. I have got it from there before. Today, I went to get a visa for my son. The officer there told me that they have stopped issuing visas there and that I have to approach a hotel or a travel agent. I am surprised that one has to go to a hotel to get a visa for one's offspring.

Could any one enlighten me about this new rule?

This law is not for VISIT Visa it is for Business or Tourist visa, if you are trying to sponsor your family you need to apply for 6 months VISIT Visa, not all visas are visit visa catogory.
