Visa validity for mother in law

I am planning 2 bring my mother in law fro 6 months to help during my wife's delivery. I got the visa in hand. I will get 1 month & can be xtended after medical.

But my question is how many months visa I will get after medical. I understood that as per new rule, only 2 months xtension is granted for mother in law.

Any have any firm idea or experienced such situation recently.

I think your M'inlaw can stay for 3 months only.

First month from the date of arrival and after medical test 2 months extension. Your direct relatives like mother / father / brother/ sister can stay for 6 months.

Make sure from other sources also before you call her.

Family visit Visa can be Extended up to 5 months after medical.
