Thank you pinoyaccountant for your good advice....as per my employer they will send me a working visa instead of a business visa because the company has already reached the maximum number of business or visit visas to be issued.

Another question is, Is my working Visa required to be stamped by the Qatar Embassy here in the Philippines? If you have some ideas, can you tell me what are the other documents needed for stamping at the Qatar Embassy?

- as your query is related to this thread,

The Philippine Embassy here, as far I know, does require the intervention of accredited agencies in the Philippines that will serve as mediator should any dispute arises between the employee and employer in the future. As security measures, Embassy does not allow the direct hiring without an agency.

You can request your Employer to seek the help of Agency in the Philippines to facilitate processing of your documents which will involve a payment of placement fee.

Another option is for you to come here on a business visit visa and afterwards converted to a working visa upon completion of labour processes. This will avoid payments of any placement fee.

for more queries, just pm me.

I got an offer from a company there in qatar. My employer will send me here in the phils the working visa and a plane ticket. My question is, Is it required for my visa to be stamped by the Phil embassy there in qatar before sending it to me? Since I am a direct hired so I dont need to go through recruitment agency here in the phils to process my documents to avoid a placement fee which is one month salary. Can I ask your good advise for the best procedures on how to process my documents to the POEA? Is my Visa also required to be stamped by the Qatar embassy here in the phils?

This seems pretty presemistic by employer, as they dont seem to be changing, but did metion they might. Infact, i want my parent to be there as well. But given the lower grade visa status on a managerial job, i might have to decline the offer.

But the crap, thing is my visa will be cancelled, I can't come back for another 2 years....to Qatar then.

Once your residency is stamped on your passport with any

profession, say "Clerk" in your case, you have to face the long winding bureaucratic process starting from your company/employer HR, then Qatar labour dept.& immigration, that is if you are keen to change the profession/job title.

You may also need attested educational certificates from your embassy.

It also depends on companies/localsponsors.

Eg: some companies give family status and fair salary even for employees on lower grades/titles.

In any case a better title helps for career growth/moves/promotions etc. Also for

bringing your wife/kids/ father/mother/brother/ sister on a vist visa more than 28 days( other wise you might only get the airport visa valid for 14+14 days).

Managerial and Senior professional titles like Doctor/Engineer/Manager/Senior Supervisor etc. will

help you to get a visa-on-arrival to any GCC country(Lucky ones are citizens of those 33 ""RICH"nations, who does not need a fancy job title or a pre-arranged visa to tarvel any where in the GCC)

if you clarify issues with your sponsor company, it will be better, oherwise it will not make much difference.

maybe what you have is a temporary only. But beware that when they process your residency with still clerical status only, there might be a problem in the future if you want to bring your family here since they are not only checking the Salaries of the sponsor but also the nature of work or the status of the working visa as well.
