Visa for my baby born in Qatar
By Edgar Paul •
Hi, I am an expat and my babygirl was born last Nov.5, 2009 here in Qatar and I am still on the process of acquiring for her birth certificate. I would like to know how long is the allowable months for the baby to acquire a visa before I have to pay penalty?........My Embassy told me that it will take 1 month for her passport (MRP - machine readable passport)to be process............do I have enough time?
Lots of thanks,
Edgar
First of all Congrats!!!
Well, don’t worry, you have 3months….. hope you have applied the Birth Certificate from Qatar Gov. (Speak to a Lady Call Mrs. Mona, she works in Health Min-Birth certificate dept) once you receive that, go your embassy with following.
1.Qatar Birth Certificate
2.3 PP sizes babies pic’s (baby’s face should be very clear)
3.babies health card (you get a green color card, time of discharge from hospital)
4.your Marriage Certificate
5.your ID card
6.Ur wife’s ID card
7.your wife’s Passport
then go to your embassy & ask them to endorse babies details to your wife’s passport. Same time you can Apply for your country birth certificate.
Once your babies details endorsed go to Immigration & get the visa stamped….
Little tuff task but if you do it properly its gonna be very easy..
Good luck.
Dear Friend,
Don't worry you have 3 months to process the visa from the date of birth of your baby, birth certificate will be issued within one week time and the best thing what you can do if the passport is getting delayed to issue take a temporary pass port and go for the visa, once you have birth certificate and passport within one day you will be able to get the visa
(I did all of those for my daughter before 5 months)
Enjoy with your sweet little one
Thanks
