The application done by me for my wife & son's visa has been deferred.On approaching the immigration office in Gharaffa, I was told that it has been put on hold as my Profession/Visa as per their records is Electrical Engineer, whereas my qualification is Civil Engineer. I was further advised to change my profession to match with my qualification. However on approaching my HR dept, they have denied that changing is not possible. Can someone please guide me the way ahead for tackling this issue.
It is to be noted that I am facing this due to a.wrong category of visa granted to me! Is there any way by which I can solve this matter without exiting and re-entering the country on a new visa and waiting further more for bringing in my family?
I had applied for residence visa for my wife and son yesterday. While checking the status online, when I checked with the system by clicking on the Residence visa, the system shows "Type of Visa not Valid". Whereas when I checked for the same application after clicking on the Visit visa, it shows that application is under review.
Please guide me whether this is normal or whether the application is being processed for the Visit visa & not residence?
If by chance, it has been processed for visit visa, please let me know how to get it converted to residence, since the NOC as well as the form submitted by me clearly indicates that the application has been done for Residence visa.

Well, I have not applied yet for a tour visa, as I'm waiting for issuing of family visa ...any idea how long does it take to issue ???
