thanks everyone especially bawaqar ;) YESSSSSSSSSS i got it, today took the passport, i saw 10 years visa :)))))))))) time to wait flight date :)))) i will send letter to all of you from vegas,sanfrancisco.los angeles,seattle ,maybe florida and miami :)))

i think got it bawarqar :)) as you told, i sent 2nd mail after 10 days finished,and then reply at once to bring passport :)) i think they approved right? :)) i will take it back on sunday..by the way i will not thanks before see my passport with my own eyes :)))))))

I m not very keen on getting special thanks.

However, you should consider that Sunday is OFF in USA so, if something happens, it will be on Monday.

US Embassy in Qatar does not process any applications or interviews on Monday.

Hence, I suggest U check back on Wednesday and further, instead of calling, try sending e-mails.

i wish i'll thank you but not today :S...i sent mail and they replied as "you need to wait appear on website,if not means pending" :S and then i called today at once, they told me be patient ,it will appear on that. i asked her how long ,she said i dont know :S...

i'll call after 2 days....

thanks all of you...specially bawarqar ... i've sent already mail saturday ,means today:) and i'll call the tomorrow 1.30 and i'll see..really im tired to think about it, everyday im sleeping only 4 hours because of this. it is really important for me to be in there on 19 of august. dont misunderstood friends..i told like this because i had needed some support :)) but now im okay..really thanks all of you who has with me:))

until you did not get that paper stating denial of your application, you can keep hoping. But just a word of advise, call them after 1:30pm and follow up your application and dont wait for the barcode number to appear in the website. in my case, i was told the same when i sent an email, but i persisted, i made a call then immediately the next day my passport with visa was released. i was able to fly to US in time to catch my family's vacation in Florida :)

It's a shame really. Turkey started giving bio-metric passports only since June 2010. So that might be the reason :)

What a shame Turkey are not on the Visa Waiver Program, if your country participates in this and you have the bio-metric passport then you just apply online, takes about 5 minutes to fill in, another 5 mins to be approved and DONE! No more going to the Embassy for interviews etc...Good luck with your visa mate!!

Guys, let me add that the visa officer asked me to wait for a week or max 10 days and even then if my bar code number does not appear on the website, I shall write e-mail. I did the same and immediately was asked to bring the passport in for stamping visa. Hence, on the whole, it took me 10 days from interview to visa stamping.

In my opinion, the people who are rejected US visa are told there and then towards the end of interview. If you are not told so, 99% chances are that your visa is approved.

Don't lose hope Desperado. U'll get US Visa.

i had a similar case, but i was waiting for 1 month then my number appeared in the said site.

just be patient and you ll get it inshallah.

if you are not rejected from the 1st itvw it means you are 99% approved.

My case was exactly similar to your case.

If your interview took place on 18th July and they did not out-right reject you, then 99% chance is that you'll get the US Visa.

Please don't ask anyone else or read any more comments.

Just act as below:-

On Sunday morning around 9 AM, drop an e-mail to them (E-mail address is [email protected]) stating your bar code number and asking them the outcome of your application.

You'll get the response in Maximum One Hour.

Later you can thank me. :)

it depends on ur ability to convince that u will return back after ur visit.

it also depends on ur salary, nationaility.

my wife got a 10 year multiple entry visa.

but one of my friend, he had to wait for a month before they rejected his application.

Not to discourage you, but sometimes their administrative processing takes a few months. On occasions it takes just under a month, but some have been made to wait for 4-6 months esp if they are from certain countries. As long you havent been rejected, you stand a chance of getting a short duration visa at least. Maybe you'll need to reschedule your travel dates. Anyway, Wish you all the best.

my friend took it same like this. and also in website is written that ....After your visa interview, you were told to check this webpage for your ticket or application barcode number because your visa application required further administrative processing....

they didnt take my passport ,they sad only just follow that website.yes,it is better to call them .

if they asked you to leave your passport then chances are you'll get a visa. call them to follow up, dont rely on the status of application in the website if you notice it is not being updated

If they took your passport, then most probably you will get a visa.

Website is useless. You need to call and make a follow up.

My friend also waited for sometime and only got a reply when she made some phone call inquiry.

you should have been told at the time of the interview if your Visa applicattion was succesful or not. And if it was succesful they should have kept your passport to stamp the Visa.

Better check with them again....the public forum might just provide misleading responses.
