URGENT: Getting UAE Family Visit Visa
Hello all, I and my wife would like to go to UAE to visit my sister's family. I am Australian passport holder and my wife has Pakistani passport and she is under my sponsorship. We both have Qatar RP (both valid till Dec 2011)
I know I can go to UAE and get visa at the airport (I have already visited UAE before), but my wife will need a family visit visa or tourist visa because of her being a Pakistani passport holder. Can someone please help me in suggesting what visa should I get, considering we want to fly a day before Eid (by 27th August 2011)? How long it takes to get one of the two visas and whats the visa fees for both?
If my brother-in-law sponsors us from UAE, what documents will he require to show for family visit visa application for my wife? Does he need to prove that we are related using some certified copies of documents, such as birth and marriage certificates?
I am unsure of how long it takes to get visit or tourist visa, so I am little uncertain if we can be able to make it, particularly Eid time would be a busy time for UAE visa authorities too.
Thanks in anticipation for your replies.
Hi,Both of you can get on arrival visa in UAE as you are Qatari resident permit holders. Even your wife is Pakistani passport holder but she is Qatar resident. But make sure both of your Qatari RP should valid 3-6 months for bording in Doha airport to UAE for on arrival visa in UAE. Other option you can approch any airline office like Air Arabia, Fly Dubai or Etihad for pre arranged visa and you have book the flight tickets through them.
with air arabia or emirates and they can assist you in getting a visa for your wife.2) if your profession on your ID is one of the ones which gets a visa on arrival (not because of your AU passport but profession here), your wife can get a visa on arrival (if she is under your sponsorship).
asking them for the actual procedures to get a VISA to your wife. Also you could try in contacting Etihad Airlines and asking them for details on processing a VISA to your wife.Just remember this kinda questions in a public forum could provide you with misleading information or even bad directions. Better to ask the proper authorities or entities related into this kinda paperwork.Regards!!
