Please note the following very important notice regarding travel arrangements in and out of Qatar during the UN Conference being held in Doha between 28th November and 3rd December;

> Only Qatar residents will be allowed to fly in and out of Qatar between 28 November and 03 December 2008 inclusive.

> If you are not a Resident do not make any travel arrangements into Doha during this period. You will not be granted a visa on arrival and will be deported back to your airport of departure.

> Holders of transit visas (= tourist visas) with an expiry date on 28th November MUST exit Qatar on or before that date and can only re-enter after 3rd December. WE CANNOT APPLY FOR OR EXTEND TOURIST VISAS AND BUSINESS VISAS BETWEEN 28TH NOVEMBER AND 3RD DECEMBER

> Be aware, that from today travellers coming into Doha will only be granted a visa up until 28th November 2008 and will have to exit the country on or before that date.

The information in this post is kind of right. Non-residents can fly in and out of Doha during those dates as long as they arrange their visa in advance. More here; http://www.qatarliving.com/node/249346

K80xxx - according to the visa section of the airport immigration department you WILL NOT be able to obtain visas on arrival during those dates. You have to apply for the in advance.

The above information is in-correct.

You WILL be able to obtain Visit and Business visas on arrival into Doha as usual.

Its only the hotels and Qatar Airways who are unable to pre purchase them for you.

Also note - ALL hotels are fully booked in this period.

Thanks
