Thank you so much for the information. What if i'm the one who purchase my ticket to Hongkong to doha? They will not honor it?

You must consider a few things: first you need a return-ticket Philippines - Hong Kong and a hotel reservation for a few days, unless you can prove that you stay with relatives or friends in Hong Kong. Your employer should send you the electronic booking for the flight Hong Kong - Doha. You are allowed to board the flight to Doha if you can show the work visa. Make sure that the tickets are provided by your employer!!

Hi I have my working visa in Qatar. My employer advise me to take the HongKong option to avoid long process here in Philippines. Is there anyone has done this kind of process lately? Can you give me some tips? Hoping for your reply & help.

Consulting the embassy would give you a clear insight. However, you can also look up for directly taking tickets.

The sponsor must abide by the rules/procedures implemented by POEA so as to avoid problems later on. The reason behind why some of them refused to follow the rules because they want to take advantage of the worker's benefits. Aside from that, they don't want to pay agency fees which will cost them thousand of rials. If you are planning to exit from singapore or hongkong going to qatar think twice before you do it. I'm pretty sure the singaporean/hongkong authorities will not allow you to exit without qatar visa stamp on your passport. The policies of Phil government are already spread across asian countries, beware... just to avoid unnecessary expenses and stressful situation.

Goodluck!

Embassy in Qatar, but unfortunately, my prospective qatari employer refused to abide by this procedure and instead, they send me the above mentioned new workvisa, they also adviced me instead to travel first to singapore or hongkong as tourist, then travel to doha. will the immigration officers in singapore/hongkong allow me to exit/travel to doha, qatar even though the workvisa is not stamp on my passport?

If you have a copy of your work visa, take it to Qatar Airways and buy a ticket from them. They will stamp the ticket "Authorized to Board". This should allow you to come to Doha where the visa will be stamped on your passport by the immigration authorities at Doha airport. Keep a copy of your work visa handy at all times during your travel. The immigration authorities at your end and at Doha airport will need to see it.
