transfer of residency

Hi All,
I got NOC from my company and I finished my job today. My problem is that I have to go to my country to pick up police clearance for transfer of sponsor. My current sponsor is going to cancel my residency during few days. What are my rights? What is the best solution to come back to the country after 3-4 days?
Thanks for help.

It is my understanding that you can get an RP without a police clearance but only for one year. During that year you could get your clearance from your home country and renew your RP at that time. Check with your new sponsor to see if that can be done.

OK I got lawyer in my country who can make it for me but that will take at least 14 days and when they cancel my residency is only 7 days to leave Qatar. But someone told me that without my passport they can not do anything, they do not have even the copy of my present ID, I was told without that they can not do anything....

have someone or a relative maybe from your country to take the police clearance for you and mail it to you via DHL. That wont take long..

You can take Police Clearance Certificate from your Embassy in Qatar, you don't need to go to your country for that.
