Transfer from dependent visa to work visa: PCC from CEID?

I have been living in Qatar for the past 8 years. I recently landed a job with an oil company here in Qatar. But my application to transfer sponsorship from father's visa to company visa has been rejected more than 3 times already. The PRO says they even went to the captain. But still my visa has been rejected. First, they said it's because I am indian female and that there is some quota limit/ban on Indian female visas? Now they are also saying they don't know why it is being rejected and that the authorities are not giving any reason. One thing I want to note is that I never submitted a Police clearance certificate (PCC) from CEID with the application even though I have been in Qatar for 8 years. The company said that only PCC from Indian embassy is needed. I saw on many posts here on QL that people are submitting PCC from CEID. When I mentioned that to the company, PRO insist that its not needed. Could this be the reason? or is PCC from Indian embassy enough for local transfer? If so, can someone tell me what I should do now? I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

very simple...take that PCC from your embassy and approach the MOFA Attestation Services (near City Center Area, in the line of those ministries or just google it). Once in there, the security guards will be able to guide to when in there. After the stamping is done, the Embassy PCC is good to go for CEID purpose. Just to ensure, your embassy PCC is typed both in English and Arabic. Cheers.

phk.. you have to take the PCC from the embassy to the new MOFA attenstation office..It's in the diplomatic compound.. see this post for more instructions on how to get there..http://www.qatarliving.com/forum/family-life-qatar/posts/ministry-foreign-affairs-attestation-office.. Remember to take your credit card, you have to may I think maybe 20 riyals..no cash allowed. They will stamp it and you are done. For CEID PCC, use this form: http://www.moi.gov.qa/site/english/departments/CEID/resources/2010/08/25_18316.pdf... Required documents are written in the form. Get whatever you need from the company. Hope this helps.

Hello ani_chy

Can you tell us how to get PCC from the CEID, what is the procedure?

Today I am going to get PCC from our embassy for my son. How to get stamped from the MOFA.

Thanks.

I also went through the same process as yours, except that it was some 2.5 years ago. For my documents for the PCC, i had a PCC from the CEID, a letter of NOC from my dad, and a letter typed in Arabic by those typists outside the immigration section, and my Embassy PCC. I ensured my Embassy PCC was stamped from the MOFA prior giving it to my company PRO for processing it.
