Time until my family can join on visit visa

I will be taking up a position in Qatar in a couple of months. Assuming I get my RP in a month's time, how soon can my family join me on a visit visa and after the requisite 6 months time, can the visit visa be converted to a resident visa?

While the family is on a visit visa, will the schools admit my son or do I have to wait until after I get the residence visa ?

I realise schools are reopening, however am looking at my son joining school after march considering that he has to complete his academic session here which wont be until end of march.

once your RP is done immediately you can apply for family visa, dont rely on Company's PR Officer. You can personally go to immigration and submit your application
