Is there any Immigration office opened during Eid Holidays for RP re-newal?

My son who is having a valid Residence Permit up to April-2008, is visiting us, for a week, on Eid Holidays. I want to have his RP re-newed as He could not come in April-2008 for his RP renewal due the exams!
Is it possible to renew RP during this much time in advance? and any office opened for that during Eid time, say on Sunday/Monday after Eid, which is falling on Tuesday?

I will be uniquely privileged if someone please advise me on that!

I have been told by a member of government that the Airport immigration office will be open during eid...and will be able to process all types of visa....however the main office will be closed. I dont know how trur this is...but would appreciate if someone could confirm...as i have a pressing issue myself to deal with...
