My wife, an American, works for a Qatari government company as had full residency and work permit papers.

I have just arrived, and her company says not only does it no longer assist with spouse residency paperwork, but that the Qatari government no longer allows spouses to be sponsored for residency at all.

Is this really true? If not, can anyone enlighten us on the process for her to sponsor me please?

Thanks for the advice -- it answers my question, which was indeed basically whether my wife can sponsor me.

Seems the section of her company that is supposed to deal with this is just being deliberately lazy, obstructive and dishonest.

wife can sponsor a husband provided your works in well reputed company or government section or semi goverment

thanks and this is more than 100% ture that wife can sponsor a husband now
