Sponsorship for a new born baby
By vhiangzskhie •
Can somebody give me an advise. Because I will be delivering next year by January with our first baby. My husband and I are here in Qatar and married legally. We planned to deliver our baby here at Hamad Hosp. Our question is how can we obtain the baby's visa? For whom he will be under sponsorship since I am not a husband sponsorhip. I am my company's sponsorship with a visa of an Engineer. And my husband also is under company's sponsorship but not with Engineer profession. If my husband can't sponsor our baby, they will allow me to sponsor him?
my husband and I are trying to get the visa of our new born baby. In our experience, we were not asked by the CID personnel when we get our baby's birth certificate to transfer my sponsorship to my husband. ( we are sponsored by diff companies). However, we are asked to submit both our saslary certificates and husband's bank statement . We've been coming to the immigration office twice already because the first time they said we must have salary certificate. Then on the second try, we were asked to see the captain and the captain asked for bank statement of the father.
We were informed that there is a minimum salary requirement for the husband to be able to sponsor the baby and that is 7500 QAR.
we dont know if this is really the standard requirement as we are hearing different info based on other's experience. really this all depends on the person we are dealing with at the immigration office.
here, we are hoping that they will be considerate and will not make it hard for us to get visa for our baby. because it is really time consuming and stressful especially for us who are working, we are taking time off from work.
Just try to finish the application, para di lumaki ang penalty nyo.
thanks GOD i am offcially under my husband visa na!!!
Tingin ko po Kya kmi nreject dahil s salary bracket but my appointment kami after 2 months I'm worrying I really don't know kung mbbgyan ng visa baby nmn.

just for the infos for everyone...
if u r in the final stage...don'T go to Immigration in the afternoon, process your papers only in the morning...because we experienced yesterday almost 4to5hrs of waiting but nothing happens to us...they used to tell comeback tomorrow or after tomorrow...it was very difficult situation for us working couple to be in Immigration every time to present ourselves personally.

Party party after this long story....
I've read each comments & opinions and found out mostly are Filipinos (Like me-kabayan). And it seems were all in the same bad situation & problems. Me and my husband are worried too, I gave birth last Feb 2012 and shes 11 months now & I took my 5 yrs old son from the Philippines so we can apply at the same time for their RP's last month we got the result and it was rejected. We found out there is a new rule that the wife must be under husband sponsorship. However, my husband salary is only QR 6, 500 as engineer & Im earning QR 6, 000, we are working & sponsored at the same company.
My question are do you think Is it possible for me to transfer my sponsorship to him even he is below QR 10, 000 minimum requeirement for salary? Our son's visa is expired for about 10 days now & were are about to pay penalty of QR 200 per day for him & my 11 months old daughter is QR 10 per day after she reached 4 months, do you think it will affect all this penalties if we will try to apply again after I transfer my sponsorhip to my husband? Need you advise & reliable answers, Thank you!
mam i would like to ask any updates on this new rules my child born last january 18, 2013 and to be honest i dont want to be seprate to my child its my first child. Is there any possibilities i can sponsor the child?
since when he got the birth certificate of his baby? when his wife delivered the baby?
forget the salary bracket, coz my ofc mate salary is only 2500 and he got the birth certificate of his baby, his wife is also wrking with other company.
hi dyollmaj thank's po, kakausap ko lang sa isa nmin Mandoup with regards sa renewing ng visa ng anak ko. he said that since may existing visa n sya last 2 years ago hindi n daw mahirap irenew un, but it depends pa din daw sa Captain sa Immigration. Next year pa nman ako magrerenew ng visa kaya lang worried ako mga nababasa ko regarding new rules of sponsorship. God bless Us. Slamatsss
hi elleine...naku po mam..ndi ko alam sa case ng 3yrs old kc po ang experience ko eh sa new born...hmmmm..blitaan nyo rin po kmi kung ano po ang rule s gnyan...we oblige po tlg n ilipat....til now wala p result ang application nmin
dyollmaj if ever na magrerenew ko ng visa ng 3 years old son ko which is under my husband sponsor makakaaffect ba ang new rules since hindi nman din ako husband sponsor because the salary of my husband is under 10,000QR?
Salamat po.
Don't worry i will traslate in english esp for you...i have only 1 question to you..
1. Are you a mom or a dad?
2. Salary Certificate minumum salary of QR10,000 (also written in arabic)
>>>> what if minimum salary of husband did not reach QR10,000? what will happen to the wife's visa and baby?
3. NBI (Attested)
>>>> is red ribbon required as well?
English in main forum please :P
Just want to share this to all Mommies out there :)
Good morning po sa lahat ng mga Mommies at still under their company sponsorship.
Base po sa aming karanasan, lately lang po eh kinausap ako ng aking companya na meron daw po akong kaso sa Police or CID...I was shock at the first time...bakit ganun?..so napag-alaman din po namin...na gnun din po sa asawa ko...kc his company is going to renew his Iqama dis month...ndi po sya mairenew hanggat ndi naiilipat ang sponsorship ko sa knya...so madaling sabi po...i have to transfer my visa under his sponsorship...kc dpt po ang misis at ang baby ay dapat under ng tatay...so gnito po ang nangyri..we applied to Immigration ng Transfer of Visa...so my company gave me an NOC, arabic salary certificate and also all the papers from my husband side...like:
1. NOC written in arabic
2. Salary Certificate minumum salary of QR10,000 (also written in arabic)
3. Bank Statement (6mos)
4. Marriage Certificate (Red Ribbon and Attested by the Philippine Embassy and MOFA)
5. Employment Contract
6. Copy of Iqama and Passport (wife and husband)
In my side (Mommy)
1. Transfer Form (Written in Arabic) to be signed and stamped of both parties
2. Salary Certificate written in arabic
3. NBI (Attested)
4. School Documents (Diploma, TOR ect...red ribbon and attested)
Hope nbgyan ko kayo ng konting impormasyon :)
Godbless everyone!
That would be very good for us if this new law will supercede the minimum salary of husband so as the wife will be under the husband's sponsorship just so to have the baby's visa be given.
Question is, will the wife's company be obliged to give her NOC just so to have both wife and baby's visa be under the husband's sponorship?
Vhiangzlkdlfw first of all I believe there is a possibility that IF the husband and wife are under different sponsors and if the wife has been working for over a year with the other sponsor, it is possible to transfer her sponsorship under husband if her company will give her an NOC to do so...under such a case the salary bracket is not an issue and you can be transferred under his sponsorship without any problems. Regarding your baby as others have mentioned your child will also be under husband's sponsorship regardless of salary or designation.
for gotoguy... So, what is your plan now? you will send your baby back in your country or you will still approach the CID/immigration to get visa for your baby? because i am worried about this. I do not want to send my baby in my country becoz me and husband is working here. And sponsorship will not approved by immigration due to my husband less than 10K salary. :(
went to CID for my baby's birth certificate last week and they had me sign a form requiring us to transfer my wife's sponsorship undermine.my company is now in bad shape and i have no plans to work there for the longest time.if any info here are true, even if we like,i would not be qualified to take my wife under my sponsorship because of my less than 10thou salary.
as much as possible we prefer not to transer her undermine because of its disadvantages and it will create more hassle to us. we also have 2.5yrs old daughter born and raised here we did not encounter such. i wonder why this new law needs to be implemented.
is this new law of wife need to be transferred to husband sponsor even if husband salary do not reach the minimum salary bracket?
I give birth feb 16, 2012 as per the requirements. I need to transfer my sponsorship under my husband visa. i think that is the new law and it will cover a baby born 3 yrs below.
The first thing is to get a birth certificate
The procedure is simple.
Near the entrance inside Hamad Women's Hosp (On the right hand side when you enter). There is an office which issues Birth certificate, collect the application forms from there , the staff will tell you which documents are required. (
The documents are mostly Copies of Passport, Visa page and ID. Along with a Copy of a Green booklet(CHILD IMMUNIZATION CARD) the hospital will issue for your baby. check if any more documents are required i cant remember all.
Ask for 2 Copies of the birth certificate. There is a fee, so keep your debit card with you. You will get the certificate in a week. check all details.
Next is to apply for a Passport for your baby. Check with your embassy for details.
After receiving the passport. You can apply for Visa.
Go to any typing centre with all 3 passports and get an application in arabic with Husband as sponsor (just tell them , they will do the rest). ask them if you have any doubt.
with
the application , Passport size Photo of baby.
birth certificate
Parents Passport ,Visa and ID copies.
Apply @emigration department family section, take a token go to the last counter on the right for verification & signature and wait for your number.
Thats it.
yes there is some noise regarding this New Qatar Law. If you see my post in the Forum, am asking if this New Law is true. The New Law is husband must sponsor wife and child born in Doha starting year2012.
but this is another story, since you are asking to whom your child sponsorship? because in the law only father can sponsor the child born in Qatar, regardless of his Salary and Profession. Now, the new Law will apply once your husband will renew his RP. Like in my situation, we also have different sponsorship but our child is under him. Now my husband will renew his RP next month, we heard now that there is this New Law, regarding sponsorship of wife and child must be under husband. mostly child born in Doha starting yr2012.
In your case, maybe once you apply for child visa, maybe you will be required to have your sponsorship transfer to your husband also.
Dont worry, i will keep you posted. Right now, am with same situation to my husband officemate, she also gave birth last Feb2012. She and her husband different company and sponsorship also, but child is under husband. Last week her husband renew his visa, but it was posponed due to this new Law. his wife sponsor must be transfer first.
Wife is now under process of asking NOC to her company.
I'll let you know what happen next.
hi, as long you have a legal marriage and complete marriage certificate nothing to worry these automatically your baby is under sponsorship of your husband..cheers!! and congrats to your new baby... :)
Thank you for all your reply. I'm worried because somebody told us that according to a new rule, I must be the sponsorship of my husband (husband sponsorship) in order to obtain the visa of the new born baby. So that's why I am surveying an advise now.
with same situation ms.vhiangzskhie. but my baby is now 7mos. delivered Jan2012. I dont know exactly what is the step by step procedure since my husband do all those things. but according to him its just easy. nothing to worry.. if you have question just PM me. my nose is bleeding now.. hihihi.
hi. your childs sponsorship will be under your hubby. regardless of salary bracket, profession type etc. As long as you have all the Legal documents. thank you..
as far as i know your baby will be sponsor by your husband as a rule
