Sponsor ship problem with Hamad Hospital

Dear all,,

I am putting this question on behalf of my friend.

Please help him if you can.

My friend is under visit visa provided by his wife who is working with Hamad Hospital as a staff nurse.

Now its going to get finished by 26th of this month.

There is a rumor that staff nurses can sponsor their husbands.

All the norms they are meeting like the salary and all.

So he want to go for that but when he or his wife approches the admin dept. they are not giving a correct answer and he is totally confused and upset because of this.

It will be great if you can guide him with your experiance if you have anything similar.

Thanks in advance...

she has to possess very high managerial/senior position...

I am not sure which "the admin dept." do they approach. If it's Hammas Hospital "the admin dept.", so how the heck would THEY know?? ONLY Labour department can give you answer on this question, no any other "the admin dept."

Good luck, my friend is Canadian and has been trying to sponsor her husband for the last year without any luck at all, they claim it can't be done even though the law says otherwise.

It really depends on his/her nationality! Although officially the rules are the same for all - in practice there are some nationalities for whom it is very difficult to get visas / sponsorship. If your friend's wife is an Asian female, and especially if her basic salary is 10k or below, then in all likelihood there would be very difficult for her to get a sponsorship for her husband. I guess immigration would have best information on all this...
