HI! Im wondering about the humors i heard, that if you are under Tourist visa once you arrive in Doha Immigration they will ask you how much money you have.
@ dotaqueen yes its true , they ask you " how much money you have with you" casually {only for hotel visa}
5000 QAR + in cash is needed if you dont have a card.
they asked me when i came in hotel visa , if you are confident they wont ask you to show the money , if not sometimes they judge people on their clothing n ask them to show the money etc.
so its advised to carry 5000qar or a credit card with you.
depends... if you act and look smart they will not check, but if they doubt ,you are in trouble..u might have to go back home from the airport. to be on safe side carry some dollors or QR.
I work for an international company and they provide me with a business visa and I dont have to pay for the entry visa, sometimes they ask where I am staying in Doha. As long as you have a confirmed address the customs people are normally ok. As a courtesy always be polite and reply to any questions carefully. If you do not understand what they want, ask to speak to their supervisor, the chaps I have spoken too often have a good command of English.
On arrival at Doha Airport, passengers may be requested by Qatar immigration, to provide proof of confirmed hotel reservation, confirmed return or onward air ticket and sufficient funds of at least $1370 USD or equivalent or a valid major international credit card. Entry into the country will be at the discretion of Qatar Immigration.

They stay at home.
how about those people who doesn't have credit card?...
People travel with credit cards and not with cash. What a stupid question that would be.
