Salary certificate attestation

What is the procedure to attest the salary certificate? The certificate needs to be submitted in a bank in India and it needs to be attested. How and where can we do that? please help us out.
I asked the same before also in the same section and got the answer to go to Indian embassy. We went there but they asked us to complete the procedure. He said something about Chamber of commerce, they were not much helpful and didn't gave us the complete info. Can anybody help? I'm sure many of the Qlers might had to attest the salary certificate at some point of time for banking issues in their home country. Please help. We need to submit it in the bank by Nov 10th.

Salary Certificate (in Arabic) has to be attested in Chamber Of Commerce first. You need to take your sponsor's specimen signature card with you (or else get this done by your Mandoop). Then take the seal from Ministry Of foreign Affairs. Then take this original and English Translation to Indian Embassy and they will do the attestation.
