My wife went out of Qatar on 26th November, she was scheduled to comeback on 26th May, however now i heard that she must enter before that day. Anybody have any idea how the immigration people calculate the 6 months? I went to the airport immigration but couldn't get an answer from them :-(

Its not that complicated. I am having exactly the same story my friend's wife left in November last year and will not be here within six months. He went to the airport immigration and asked them for a form for family visa extension. You need to attach your wife's passport and id copies, and your id copy. A fee of QR 500 and you get an extension of another 6 months.

All the best!

If somehow your wife can’t make it on that day. you have an another option that you could go to Immigration dept in airport NOW (before the expiry) and extend her stay for 6 more months by paying 500QR.

Hope this helps :)

To be on a safe side your wife should enter qatar on the 24th. Otherwise your wives rp would get expired if she is out of qatar for 6 months.
