Return ticket on Visit Visa
My mother will come from india on 8th of January'10 and got her visit visa(One month validity). I have a plan to extend her staying here until 25th June'2010. And I purchased a return ticket on that date. Will that create any immigration problem during her journey? OR should I purchase a return ticket within one month from date of arrival and extend it later. Please advice.
No... you won't be facing any problems. Immigration personals sitting at the Indian Airports will ask for that, just to confirm the traveling person is having a valid return ticket or not. As far as the Qatar immigration personals sitting at the airport or at the immigration department, have nothing to do with your ticket nor will they ask for that. You can extent your mother's one month visa up to 6 months after entering Qatar. You can also extent the date of return journey accordingly.
Make sure you buy a flexible ticket so you can change the return date..
if what she got is a 6 months family visit visa, then u have no problem as u will extend her visa stay, but if she has 1 month visit (like tourist), then the ticket must match the visa period.
For visit visa, return ticket is required. SO if you are planning to extend your mom's stay, you can always ask the airline to re-book the return date, with extra charges of course.
