Not true, they don't check your academic certs. to see if you are eligible for family RP, if your salary is above QAR10,000 it should be ok. But you have to note, they also have the right to refuse your application. There is economic uncertainty now in Qatar. How will they be able to accommodate more people here. They are actually laying people off and sending them back. It does not make any sense that they allow more people to come in. So I think it all depends on case by cases now. They have the right to accept and also refuse.

It will also depend upon the designation on your RP. If its an engineer then you have better chance.
