Reporting Labor Law non-compliance, termination and NOC

My company just terminated me for unfair reasons and stated that they won't give me NOC. They give me first written warning with 2 day deduction of salary as punishment which i did not sign so they made a 2nd written warning with immediate termination because I did not sign the first written warning.

Also, the company is committing serious labor law non-compliance such as salary delay, passport confiscation, no contract signing only job offers, and more than 48hrs/week office-hours (sometimes overnight) without overtime pay.

My question is, if I complain and report this to ministry of labor, will they give me protection just in case company will retaliate on me such as won't give me my salary and gratuity, make-up cases against me and not giving exit permit? Also, can I use the unfair termination and labor non-compliance so that i can get an NOC? will the labor ministry help me with this issues?

I just checked with the labor office, they are useless in my situation. Geez... law in qatar favors the employers and does not protect the employees.....it sucks.....

Go to labour department and complaint. They are able to help you in getting NOC via MOI. This happens in case you didn't recivie 03 months consecutive salary from your company. Regarding balance dues, yes it could take at least a year or more.

Go to Labour Department and complaint, sure they will help ypu to take your all arrear salaries, Leave salary & indemnity. after receiving all, pack and back to home. NOC is the absolutely the RIGHTS of Employee, No one can force them to give NOC to their Staffs.

If you go to the Labor Office, they will help you get your rights including your passport, ticket, dues etc. This usually gets done within two working days after you file your complaint. However, if you decide to take the matter to court, it will take months. Usually, this does not happen. As for the NOC, the decision to give you one lies totally in the hands of the company and I don't think the Labor Office can assist you in this. In the worst case, if you do take the assistance of the Labor Office, you should be ready to leave Qatar after the matter gets settled by them as the company will retaliate by giving you an exit. You may also take the assistance of the Human Rights Office to get your rights before going to the Labor Office. The Labor Office does not require heavy fees or Advocates and you can fight your own case there.

Try your luck in Dubai or Muscat .............. .. Good luck my dear ...... ..

Whatever we do there should not be any harm to ownself ......

In a foreignland we are not on equal footing , we lack support on every front.

First weakness being the language ! Advocates are expert in handling the client's money than the case itself .............. .......

My Advice is just get your Passport and Exit permit and get out of this place. Don't make things complicated. The job you had here or working here is not end of the world. There are many different countries and jobs are waiting for you. Just ignore and forget it. go back to your country be with your family for sometime, refresh your mind and start hunting again :)......Wishing you good luck buddy
