Process time for converting profession from Technician to Engineer
I got the employment agreement from American MNC. I never worked in qatar before. All required documents submitted to employer for visa processing. Now I understand that company doesn't have a visa for the positions i.e Engineer visa for Indian nationals. They have Technician visa , Now they have applied for profession change from Technician to Engineer. Still approval is awaited since applied i.e 3 weeks completed.
Can any one tell what will be processing time for Profession change & issue of Multiple Permanent Work Visa

The same accepted to a friend of mine. The explanation from the HR was that the ministry of labor will ask the company to bring a Qatari to that position of an engineer and ultimately it will delay the person joining the company.
Another rumour is that the immigration is stopping employment visa for Indians. So decide fast.
If your Company does not have provision of Engineer visa for Indians how do you expect to make a profession change?
