PROCEDURES FOR APPLYING FAMILY VISA

Does anybody know what are the proceures for getting Family Visa.

Where we have to apply ?

Hai .. i am in a bit of trouble. I am offered a job which requires RP. I am still in the process of application. Is it possible to speed up the process by any chance . I need it urgently.

Family Visit Visa

This visa is granted for one month and can be extended for another five months for first and second degree relatives and in-laws (Father, Mother, Sister & Children) and can be extended for only two months in case of other relatives.

Place of submission: Expatriate Affairs & Unified Services Centers

Requirements:

Fill up the form and submit personally by the sponsor

Requirements for applying visa for wife :

• Copy of personal ID or passport of the resident husband

• Letter from husband's employer citing profession and salary

• Copy of attested marriage contract

• Copy of wife's valid passport

Requirements for applying visa for other relatives :

• Copy of personal ID or passport of the sponsor.

• Copy of sponsor's wife's passport with valid residence permit or residential tenancy contract.

• Letter from employer of the sponsor citing profession and salary.

• Valid passport copy of the visitor.

• Document to prove relationship.

• Undergo medical test within 72 hours entering the country in case willing to extend for more than one month.

Fee

• Visa issuance fee: QR 200, QR 50 for each accompanying person

• Visa Extension fee: QR 200 for every month and QR 50 for each accompanying person

Family Visa Procedure

Note: If you didn’t subscribe in Metrash means first subscribe in metrash in MOI (No Charge), you will get SMS alert regarding the Visa status (it’s useful for us).

1. Get a family visa application form from directly from MOI(Ministry of Interior)

2. Type the application form by a typist or by yourself in Arabic/English .Get the signature and seal from your sponsor at the last page and your sign.

3. Submit the application form with the following documents(Ref the application form rear side):

i. NOC letter from your employer

ii. Passport copy of yours, ID Copy, and wife and children.

iii. Enclose statements of wife's children adoption reasons.

iv. Six months Bank statement

v. Copy of attested Marriage certificate

vi. Copy of attested children birth certificates

vii. Copy of attested Academic Qualification

viii. Copy of electricity bills

4. After submitting the application, get a receipt with application number and track the status through this link http://www.moi.gov.q...

5. Click on the second radio button and enter the application number and Your QID.

6. The status will be “The Request accepted” means same day you will get SMS from MOI with visa application no. If “The Request refused go to Labour department and check for the reason and fulfill it.

Note:

a) Incase the reason is not mentioned means then take the appointment (with captain) to know the reason. Go with full preparation along with all submitted documents (copy) and original.

b) Ask the reason for rejection, normally the captain will ask you some question just i.e what is your job/ Salary/ Nature of Company (They want some clarification from the submitted application. Check the status in same above mol link. It will be approved.

7. Once you received SMS with visa application no. Then track the status through the link http://www.moi.gov.q... and click on "Visa approval tracking" Enter your visa no (Received in SMS) and ID No.

8. Once your received SMS “Visa ready to Delivery” or “Ready for printing" status in the moi website, go to Immigration office with the Online print (Visa Ready for printing-it’s not compulsory) and original passport of the applicants and your ID. No application is required here.

9. Pay the amount (QR200) and get the family visa. Now you can send this visa to your wife & children’s (to home country).They can arrive based on this visa. Already your wife is here (Qatar) in visit visa means you can convert visit visa to family visa by paying additional QR 500 and they will fix sticker in passport (No need to go outside of the Qatar).You can do this same time when you are getting the family visa.

10. Go to medical commission(Abu Hamour) with the following documents (Original passport, Visa copy & QAR 100). No application required here.

Note: For Visit to Family visa –Mention this conversion visit to family visa in the registration counter.

11. You will get SMS alert from metrash medical ok .Then track moi site(http://www.moi.gov.q... and click on "RP application tracking and Printing" and enter visano and ID no you will get a form from the above website where you need to fill some supplementary data.

12. Proceed for finger print(Abu Hamour) with the printout from website after Medical approval (they just need the visa number. To be on the safer side- Visa copy, ID and Original Passport).

13. You will SMS alert (Finger print ok) ,then proceed to immigration with the following (Printout of the form from MOI website duly filled, after medical approval, Copy of ID and passport of sponsor) QR 500, if you are applying residency for one year and same amount for every additional year and get the RP card by paying the required amount,
