Here is the contact address for umrah hamla agent in doha : HAMLAT AL ANSAR FOR HAJJ & OMRAH, Tel. # 4691161 & Fax # 4691171, and Mobile # 5977185 & 5532066 in Mamoura area, thru. which we did travelled in Sept.'08.

I too had visited by car with family. Nothing to bother if your car model is above 2003. Hotels easily available. But take care of locking car always in the whole KSA. Always park car near/around public parking place in day or night time. See clearly paking lots for safety & security of your own car plus inside things from thieves, who easily can broke glass and stole all.

Keep not your & your family passports in the car, while parking in Medina or Makkah; or even when you take break for Meals on-way itself. Very dangerous. Keep always passports in a hand bag / purse / ladies bag for sure security & safety. If your family is very big - take care of boarding & de-boarding local city busess while reaching haram to parking place, to avoid missing your family members who associated in the journey. My wife also de-boarded a stop before schedule car parking area, and we faced a lot of problems on Ramzan Idd day travelling from Haram to car Parking area after prayers. Be have a new local mobile chip when u enter KSA (which is very easy to get/purchase from any bakala or stand in queue in Saudi Telecom shop stall, and get new by showing your qatar ID card or passport instantly without hassless). Simultaneously you can use Qatar Qtel sim too to help yourself if one failed with another.

Still u can contact me at [email protected] and mobile # 5835726.

And, keep not to forget me & my family in your all duas at both holy places, and convey our salams to last prophet of Allah- Hazrat Mohammed sullalahu alaihi wa sallum.

Allah bless all of us timely with HIS bounty- Amin.

Allahafiz

Waleykum Salam,

The place I know for arranging Umrah Visa is located near Hafsa Signal. On the C ring road coming from Toyota take right from Muntaza Signal go past the small traffic signal after Apollo Clinic take left from the signal and immediately take right the agent is located on the left hand side and has a big open parking in front. They charged us 200\passport and for children under 7 they charge little less. It takes 7 to 10 days to get the visa stamped on your passport and they can also advise you for the best place to rent.

You should apply throw any HAMLA and it will take about one week to get the visa but make sure that your car is in good condition becuase it is long trip.

You can book the hotel from the HAMLA itself or there (as you like)
