Procedure for Lost Indian passports ?

Dear ALL QL Readers Please note that i have lost my Indian Passport (F 4959759) in Doha ( approx between November 1 2011- 30 December 2011 )
If found my passport please contact me at 5525-1157

Founders will be rewarded !

Otherwise I have the following questions :

1- Is it necessary to publish in newspaper?
2- What document are required at the Capital Police? any charges ?
3-At the Indian Embassy , how can i get the new passport issued urgently with the Tatkahl service . if yes when and how much ?
4- Will they issue the lost RP in my new passport ?

You need to do the following.

1. Report immediately to Capital Police station at Crazy Signal.

2. They shall provide a form which you need to fill, might ask from ID copy, Passport copy & company letter signed by authorized signatory.

Thank you Raznik for the quick answer.

1- Do i have to show up at the CID office in Salwa and report there too that my PP is missing ?

2 -Whats the quickest way to get the new passport issued at Indian Embassy ?

3- Does the Indian Embassy or the Capital police have a section where we can claim our lost Passports and Documents?

1.if u can make an advertisement in news paper it is better also.

2.in capital police lost and found section u should submit your ID card copy. if you have passport copy with you attach that also.no charges i think. if there , may be max.50qr enough

3.bring certificate you got from police to embassy and make a request. its normal charges and time

4.bring the copy of police certificate and new passport to main immigration garaffa . it is easy for you dear
