I need assurance, our family visa is now on process this is sponsored by my husband's employer. Tentative schedule to leave for qatar is end of November.

My question is do i need to send all supporting documents, visa to qatar embassy here in manila for authentication? even if wife is not looking for work?
Some say no need..is this correct? I'm concerned coz i heard stories that other pinoys going to qatar or dubai they were actually questioned at NAIA airport and was not allowed to leave country.

as per my experience no need to have the visa and the paasport authenticated. Me and my children are also sponsored by my husbands employer when we went here last Nov '07. I just present the passport and visa for checking and I was able to aboard the plane w/o any problem

it actaully depends... i only had business visa when i went here so i had to at least have it authenticated in the Qatar Embassy in Manila... you just bring the copy of the visa and passport to DHL/world wide express courier. Be sure to have photocopies at least 2 each. I was charged 375 and had to wait for 5 working days.

The part about the stories is true... I only had scan copy of visa when i went to bahrain, immigration in the airport gave me hard time... will not post here how i still managed to go but i swear the immigration people in manila can be really, really fuzzy about it.
