Hi Friends,

What is the salary criteria for getting family visa?is it QR 5000 above or QR 7,500.

My Gross salary is as follows:-

Net salary deposited in Bank:- QR 5,375

Housing allowance(Deduction):- QR 2500

Transportation allowance:- QR 500

So my Gross salary on salary certificate is QR 8,375,but getting deposited in bank is QR 5,375.

Please guide me,if i am eligible to get family visa.
My mail id is [email protected]

Troll the reference os the Qatar labor law, and yes transport and housing allowances dont account for your salary.

Up to you, try it out.

Well, that depends. For my experience, my basic salary and stated in the contract was below the QR7500 mark. But because the salary that i was receiving on a monthly basis (housing, transpo and food allowance), it goes well beyond the QR7500 limit. The reason why the government capped a minimum requirement on the salary is because they want to make sure that your family will be living comfortably with your salary. Make the calculations...how much will be left from your salary if you will bring your family here? Will you have enough money to save, or your salary will just be enough for you and your family to survive in a month? That's how the ministry judges the application. If, based on your computation, you won't have any savings left, i doubt the ministry will approve it.

It's not because things are difficult that we don't dare, it's because we don't dare that makes things difficult!

"Yep, 7500 basic salary so you cant use your housing allowance as your salary. "

Are you telling a guy who gets

4500 - basic

2000 - Housing allowance

1000 - Travel Allowance

Total 7500

cannot apply for a family visa? Can you please provide any reference?

Very true Pinoy, and they will sometimes interview people close to the bracket but that is usuallt when the basic is close to QR 7,000. 5000 and change probably wont meet the ccut.

QR 7,500.00 as the basic Minimum Salary requirement for one Expatriates to sponsor his family.

Of course, the final decision still rests on the Captain of Immigration upon submission of facts and evidences.

I am not a troll, you are sadly mistaken friend. Allowances are not calculated as salary, especially when he doesnt get his allowances transfered. Bank statements do not suffice, he needs a salary statement from his job which will show his basic.

You, personally cannot deposit 8,000/- in you bank and show the statement. In the bank statement, it will clearly mention whether it is a salary transfer/depo/ipo or whatever.

What everyone used to do is, they will tell their company to deposit the amount with your salary showing your salary is 8,000/- and you have to pay your company the balance amount. They will adjust in their books accordingly.

And it is NOT possible if you are working for a MNC/Govt firm.

For your second question:

Don't put yourself in trouble. What if they asked, how are you earning an extra pay monthly which is illegal in Qatar to work for other company?

Is it necessary that if u r bank statement shows more than QR 7500 it has to be salary only?i mean i got enough money,so if i deposit extra money suppose QR 5000 extra than my salary, which makes bank statement to show total of QR 10000 every month in that case am i get family visa?is it necessary that it has to be salary only?

Thanks buddy for your reply.

My salary certificate has a componanat which shows QR 2500 as my housing allowance.I dont get it in cash or in bank, rather company has provided the accomodation to me at ain khaled & they say they pay QR 2500 for that.So i dont pay for accomodation, not for water or electricity.

Buddy what if i deposit QR 8000 on 1st of every month & get bank statement after six months

or

i gave extra 3000 riyal every month to company & ask them to deposit in bank before our salary day for six months & then take statement after six months.

Advise me

Troll...i think it's the other way around.

NET Salary is the minimum you are getting, and GROSS Salary is the total.

It's not because things are difficult that we don't dare, it's because we don't dare that makes things difficult!

Even if it's only QR2000 that is stated on your contract, but the Bank is saying you are getting QR8375, you will get approved. How do you receive your QR3000 allowance? Cash? Why would a company do that, pay your salary on the bank and hand you cash the allowances, when they can add it and put it all at the same time. It just makes no sense.

If the 6 month bank statement says your below 7500, chances of getting approved is very low.

talk you your HR/Personnel and tell them to put all your salary to the bank. Then wait for 6 months for it to show on the bank statement that you've been receiving that amount for the past 6 months.

It's not because things are difficult that we don't dare, it's because we don't dare that makes things difficult!

They WILL ask for your 6 months bank statement to check your salary.

But i think it wont be a problem if you can show them your salary certificate.

By the way, it is not QAR 5,000/- It is QAR 7,500/-
