Hi Friends,

Have been working in Doha Since October 2011 onwards and recently got Married and I wish to bring my Wife to Doha on a Visit and later transfer to Permanent Visa.Would require your assistance in guiding me through from scratch. For Eg: What all Certificates needs to be attested and what all Docs of mine needs to get attested and from where?.

NOTE- My wife is yet to apply for her passport from India . So, my name will get endorsed in her passport while she applies.

- There was a form which needs to be filled and as per her SSLC Certificate her name is mentioned . But my doubt here is in the form can she enter Mrs.? along with her name or Ms? And am settled in Coimbatore and wife is from Thrissur. So which address is to be given while she applies for her passport? Thrissur or Coimbatore?

I require all these details/suggestion in order for me to have a smooth process in Immigration!!

Plz Advice!

Regards,

Sudeep Menon

Dear QL Friends,

I need to get my wife to Doha on a visit and currently work here . The plan is to get her on visit and extend it by payin QR 200 ... and then slowly making her on my sponsorship.

Have done the following in our MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE (i..e)

a) Attestation from Delhi

- Ministry of External Affairs, Govt of India, Embassy of State of Qatar- New Delhi plus NOTARY STAMP .

- I have already got the certificate attested from Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Doha Qatar.

My query here is should I still go to Indian Embassy in Doha for their Seal?

Kindly let me know on the same since initially , I plan to get my wife on a visit visa and my friends told me I can pay QR 200 and extend it for few more months.

Awaiting from you guys!!

Cheers,

Sudeep Menon

honest answer is - check with your office HR for the details, in general below is the procedure:

1:you first have to obtain a marriage certificate ( from magistrate/munispality)from the district where the marriage taken place, it would be a tough procedure if you got married 6 months before as in that case you have to wait for a notge certificate , you have to wait for a period of 1 month (1 month court notice) before the certificate is granted, else it should take less than a week time.

2: After Marriage certificate , you have to apply for her passport with the marriage certificate , it is easy for future if you give address of your permanent home address in india instead of your inlaws address.

==Which form you are talking about for Mrs. or Ms., In paasport you dont need to put ant initials i guess, spouse name should be there.??

3: get marriage certificate attested by Ministry of external affairs office in India, agents generally charge Rs. 2500/ certificate , so its better to get it done through them,

4: Now since you are in Doha since long time, its not a difficulat for you to get your wife here on Family visa , provided

*you have a salary more than QAR 10000/month ,

*6 months bank statement,

*copy of paasport for your wife,

*original attested copy of yoiur marriage certificate

*your rent agreement or hotel bookings for local stay here

You have to do a lot excercise for getting a marriage certificate and Passport,, Good Luck...

Go to immigration office and your questions will be answered rather posting it on QL and you will have different opinions that may give you different answers that may confuse you...

1. Obtain from registrar a marriage certificate and Get your marriage certificate endorsed by Ministry of external affairs office in India - chennai or any major city.

2. Mean while , Get her passport

3. Obtain family visit visa through your employer for your family visit visa ( noramlly you get for 2 months)

4. Get rental agreement on your name for proof of your residency

5. Once your family arrives do formalities like medical ,finger printing etc.,in 2 months span (within the duartion mentioned)

6. Applying for passport, address (within India is not an issue and do not get tensedup)

best of luck
