Passport info

Dear All
I need some information regarding rules for "spouse name" in passport. I am currently in Qatar on a Business Visa, and my company is in the process of converting it to a Work visa. I wish to invite my wife on visit visa,once i have my work visa with me. My wifes passport still shows her previous name(before marraige)since we cudnt find time to change it last year. I need to know whether there will be any complications if she travels on her previous name passport. We have our Marraige Certificate attested by all the required ministries and also by the qatar foreign affairs in delhi. I also wanted some input on whether i can change my wifes status from Visit visa to Residence permit later if yes how??

Don't worry. My wife still has her maiden name and I am sponsored by her. We have been travelling around the GCC for some time now. All we had with us when we came to the Gulf was our marriage certificate duly attested by all and sundry.

B COZ NOW THERE IS A VISIT VISA FOR ONE MONTH . IT WAS VERY EASY FOR PEOCESSING..

There will be no pro at all you wife has her own surname. Only thing you need is the marriage certificate attested from your country. Cos I'm also under my husband’s visa and in my passport I don’t carry my husband’s name.
