Me and My family passports will expire in May 2016. My Family RP is expiring on 28-11-2015. SO when I will renew RP on old passport, is it essential that I transfer RP to new passports. Someboy told that you can keep both old and new passports along when travelling and can show old passport for RP. (BTW now RP is also being issued as card rather than stamped on passport) No need to transfer RP (Residence permit). Pls. advise.

you can renew your passport now , now a days renewal RP is not stemped on Passport.

there is passport number mentioned on the new qid cards.....

I traveled with passport with cancelled stamp on RP. I showed them the new QID where passport number and expiry is mentioned.

There was no issue at the Karachi airport.
