with out cancelling qatar visa can we re enter again?

Dear all,
I was worked in qatar and i was leave from there on December 2010 and now i am working in Oman and my current company having project in qatar and there told me to relocate there but i am much worried about my previous visa is there any possibility to reenter again to qatar if any formalities there please kindly i am requesting you to share..

@galloper...i dont think so... detaining is only if you commit a crime,he can go back to qatar as a tourist, as you mention 2 year ban is necessary but i dont know if its change by ministry of labor about sponsorship
If you left Qatar without resigning/cancelling your visa/notifying your employer you could have been blacklisted/or filed as absconding; meaning upon arrival to the airport you could be detained (maybe jailed) and then deported.
On the other hand if your employer did nothing about your visa, it automatically expired 6 months after leaving the country (~Jun 2011); then a 2 yrs BAN automatically started, meaning until mid 2013 you can not come to Qatar to work.
In both cases there is a chance of getting caught by authorities in the airport and being deported. Now it's up to you!
