Mia, from what I've read from this post and your post on the Answers forum it seems you were taken in by an illegal visa scheme. If you do not work for your sponsor - and you have said he is an unknown "Qatari police" - and you were working for someone else then you were sold an illegal visa. It seems your previous employer knows this and is willing to take advantage of you. All I can say is I'm glad you posted this so that everyone can see what a mess an illegal visa is and wish you the best.

theoretically speaking, you don't need her NOC since you don't have your RP under her her sponsorship...but you know, different regulations and criteria apply to different groups of workers.. so just be careful while changing your employer...

You are in a tough situation. There is no assurance that your old employer will not kick you out again. And on the other hand, if your old employer wants you to stay working for her, then she can refuse to give you an NOC and you will not be allowed to work for your new employer. If you can get the NOC from your old employer, I would take it and go work for the other woman, however I doubt she will give it to you.

Maybe sit down and have a talk to your old employer about the situation, and explain to her that your circumstances require you to have reliable employment as your children depend on you.
