New Rule in Applying Visa for Newly Born Baby

Is it true that there's a new rule in applying for newly born's visa?

I was informed that to get a visa for a newly born baby, the mother should be under the husband's sponsorship or else, the visa application will be disapproved by the immigration.

Can someone verify this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, in my experience co'z I'm under husband sponsor after getting the birth certificate, we went straight in immigration in gharaffa and some papers to type coz they have form to be type in arabic, then went inside and get numbers by the time I reached my number I went to this lady and checked the document and visa stamped for 2yrs. time...unless they change it and make big dal out of it in your case...goodluck hopefully everything will be okey

My friend gave birth 2 months ago. They applied for the baby's passport after receiving the birth certficate.

She said that 2 days ago, they went to Immigration (not sure if it's immigration but the office going Saudi border) to apply for the baby's visa.

The officer saw that the father's salary is below 7,500 and the mother is not under his sponsor.

The officer told them, that they will only approve visa for newly born of the mother is under husband sponsorship or if the mother is not under her husband's sponsorship, the husband's salary should be atleast 7,500.

I want t confirm this if it's true because my husband's salary is 1000 riyals short of the requirements and I'm not under his sponsorship.
