New Family Visit Application when Tourist Visa Already Valid

hell every one,
my wife is here in Tourist visa now. Can I apply for a family visit visa when she is already in the country ? is there will be any problem when you apply for new visa ? will it get blocked ?
my PRO told me, you can apply for a new family visit visa and once it is issued I can convert tourist visa to family visit visa by paying QAR 500. Do I need NOC from hotel for this purpose ?
Moreover tourist visa validity is only till 24th Nov. what shall I do ?

can you please tell me how you did exactly ? or you applied for family visa with current tourist visa and NOC submitted along with all other documents for family vist visa ?

Yes. you can convert the Tourist Visa to a family visa. I did it before 15 months for my wife and kid who came here thru a hotel visa.
you have to take an NOC letter from the hotel to change the sponsorship of the visa from the hotel to your sponsorship.

I advice you to visit the nearest immigration office for clear clarification or what your Mandoub said is correct. You should know one important thing that, all users in QL is just like you and me, no experts and we cannot hold anyone for wrong information.
