new born residence permit???

Hi!

I gave birth to my first baby last sept 13. My husband is also here in Doha but his company has started to remove some employees already because their project in Qatar will end soon. For this reason, I would like to ask the ff:

1. can I give sponsorship to my son (I am under my company's visa and my salary is ok - even better than my hubby) as we are not sure if until when my husband will stay with his current company?

2. when we applied for my son's passport at the philippine embassy, I also renewed mine but I already changed my last name (since I was still single when I had my previous passport)...If ever i can sponsor my child, would there be any problem if my visa is still on the old passport and my last name is different there..I already applied for a certicate from embassy stating that the old and new passport bearer is the same - would that be sufficient..is there any other procedure that I have to do? I am worried as I heard that we should get my son's visa before his 2nd month birthday...

please help :(

My advise is:

1- get your visa transfer done from your old passport to the new one without telling any thing about the newborn visa.

2- after that you can apply for family visa for your kid under your sponsership and if they asked you about the father you can tell that he is not having a family status in his current working place

i know a friend whom she kept her kid on her sponsership in this way

good luck
