Just saw the second part of your question about applying for visit visa online.

Currently you cant do it online.

You can apply online for Tourist visa online through www.gov.qa . you need to be registered to use the service. You may register online and there is a verification process where you need to go to a nearby post office for identity verification. After that only will your account get active (unless you have the new smart card ID)

forgot to mention, the medical commission charge 100 riyals for their service.

RP charges per year vary for govt employees to private sector employees.

best of luck

To get a permanent visa for your spouse, first of all you much check whether you are eligible:

1. Your salary must be QR. 5000 PM or above

2. Your profession in the work permit should be of executive type - like manager, engineer, accountant, or some good profession

For obtaining the Visa you should submit the following documents to the Labour Department

1. Passport Copy, Education Certificates etc of your spouse

2. Salary Certificate from the company

3. 6 months bank statement showing the salary transfer

4. No objection letter from the sponsor

5. Letter from the sponsor clearly showing your position in the company, your monthly salary, housing allowances and other allowances etc.

6. Duly filled in application form

7. Your passport copy and education certificates copies

I think the above papers are sufficient for filing the application. After filing the application, please check with labour department for the approval. If you have not recevied the approval and still the paper is pending, you can ask for an appointment with the concerned authorities by showing the receipt you have got while filing the application.

All the best

hi,

I would suggest you to bring your wife to qatar on visit visa again & then follow the steps below

First you would need to fill this form from Ministry of labour and Social Affairs. The form must be filled in arabic.

http://www.mlsa.gov.qa/Documents/Pdf/420_3.pdf

There is a checklist on the last page of the form of the list of documents you need to attach with the form.

You have to submit the application at the MLSA office near American Hospital on C Ring Road.

You can follow up your application on the MLSA website

http://www.mlsa.gov.qa/MLSAServices/Laborservices/LbrReqInfo.aspx

The approval takes 1 to 3 working days. If it takes more than 3 days, follow up your application by approaching MLSA personally.

After the approval from them, you will get a visa number (informally called blue visa as they stamp the visa with a blue ink). You can then transfer this blue visa to your spouse's passport for a nominal fee of 5 riyals. The blue visa entitles your spouse to stay in qatar for 3 months.

even if you dont transfer the blue visa to her passport, you should now start the process for her medical test & CID clearance. For this go this page on Ministry of Interior:

http://www.moi.gov.qa/ResPrint/Actions?action=getResVisaInput

You have to enter the blue visa number and your ID number & you will be presented to fill the online form & submit it and print it. It must be filled in arabic.

You will need to attach a photo on the application form & your spouse needs to sign the form in black ink.

You will then need to take your spouse with the printed form to Medical Commission (near MES Indian School, Beside the Woqod Petrol Station on Industrial Area Road towards Muntaza) for the Medical Test. (please be aware that you need to exclusively mention to them if your spouse is pregnant to avoid the X-Ray exposure). You can follow the result of the medical commission on the same MOI website

http://www.moi.gov.qa/ResPrint/Actions?action=getResVisaInput . It may take upto 3 working days, if it takes later than that please approach and enquire medical commission personally.

After your clearance from Medical Commission, the website will inform you to approach CID.

CID ( on salwa road if you going towards the former palace round about, you have to take right from the TATA showroom round about and then take the second service road.) You would have to go there with the printed form & they take the biometric scans. You can again follow up on the MOI Website http://www.moi.gov.qa/ResPrint/Actions?action=getResVisaInput

After clearance from CID, the online status will request you to go to immigration office. Before you go there you have to take the blood group report, taken from any laboratory.

Finally! you will get the residence permit.

If there is any easir process, please let me know too.......... :)

Hope you get the visa :)

regards

You can apply for permanent visa with the following documents :

1. Her passport copy clearly showing your name as spouse.

2. Marriage certificate attested by your embassy.

\

3. Bank statement for 3 months

4. requisite form duly filled in arabic,

5. Proof of residential place where you are goining to live with your family i.e rent contract etc.

Submit these documents to immigration, the whole process takes less than a week.

If you want to apply for visit visa, you may submit the application in immigration and you can print it on online after approval.
