Dears,

About one month ago I got accepted to be a systems engineer in the government, then they asked me for some papers like the criminal report, passport photocopy to apply for a visa for me. Later on, I sent these documents, and never heared from them again. I don't really know what is going on there?? am I still accepted, has the visa been rejected so I dont hear about them?

If someone can tell me how to get the visa application number and then I will check it myself from the MOI website, this will be great.

Thanks everybody.

Yes, this is the best way to figure it out.

why wouldn't you contact your company and ask them? This is the only way to figure out the status of your application. Maybe this company stopped the process for some reason. Just call them and find out what's going on..

Yes, you can call the Human Resources department in your prospective company. They will be able to tell you at what stage your visa is. When they made application for your visa they received a receipt that has your MOI visa application number on it. I'm afraid that the MOI only has it listed by that number.

Mandi,

I just want to follow up on MOI site, dont want to set here in egypt waiting the holy phone call. Really from your life experience in Qatar, do you know how can I reach this application number?

One month ago it was Ramadan so that slowed down all the government paperwork. Don't worry, four weeks for a business visa is a very short time here in Qatar. I'm sure the visa is still just in process. Or sitting on someone's desk waiting for a free moment. It will come.
