My daughters residency visa denied-please help

I just came to Qatar and teach in a US university. My salary is good and all living expenses are paid by my university. I have a work visa, but In our group I am the only one that they denied residency permit for my 15 year old daughter. I can't understand why? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Sometimes you just have to apply again, who knows why? Make sure your head of HR sends the right mandoub this time and make a lot of noise. It WILL get done. (Is there a custody issue here?)

Shelly, you should contact your university. If you work for the Qatar Foundation, they should have an entire department with staff dedicated to helping you navigate the visa and residence permit process. I can't imagine they would allow this to happen to their staff without vigorously appealing the denial. Best of luck to you, that is very hard news to hear, I am sure.

You should ask the university to find out. Otherwise, leave the country with its inhumane immigration laws.
