Medical Test - Qatar Visa

Hi, I am a previous resident visa holder here in Dubai and had cancelled it because my company just closed due to slope down of the business here. Fortunately I was hired by a new company but I had a problem. When I came back to Philippines last May 2009, I was diagnosed with hepa. Because of the unstable rule of law here in uae, the goverment decided to test hepa also for resident visa application which was effective only this first quarter of 2009. Im planning to upfront my employer about my situation but I dont know what to tell. I am on Tourist Visa which only valid till 1'st of September I am planning to move to Qatar and find a job there, what are the medical test procedure in obtaining a Qatar Visa. If hepa is not included in the test, what visa would be fit for me to come there? Please, i need your advice and suggestions as well as answers to my question. I am in distress now. Im planning to go back to my home country but still thinking that my life would be misserable without anything to bring back home. Thanks

It is depends on your profession, if your in hospitalility industry like food handler and in medical profession or a profession with direct contact to people, they will going to test you for HBsAg Screening. Hepa A, B or C is contagious disease and you need to be treated first for your own good and to lessen your anxiety. Much more you are more likely spread this infection here in Qatar. Go to see Doctor in your home country and be diagnosed whether it is cured or you’re a carrier of that virus. When I undergo for medical test, they only took 1 blood sample and that is for HIV.

Quote from Mia18..........

"med-com here in qatar dont allow hepa.if they will also diagnosed that you have that, you will still go back to philippines.med-com here is very strick.you need to have medication in philippines before you come here.good luck."

-->It could depends on your job categories, mia18.

So long you DO NOT work as a: food handlers, medical employees, primary school teachers, housemaid. Then..chances are there to obtain a work visa.

Only HIV will be test for a blood test if your profession is not related to food or medical profession.

You can call the medical commission +974 4679111 for sure.

If you go to Philippines, chances are slim for you to pass the medical from there. They wont allow you to go outside the country for employment purposes. I seen your profiles and it says you work as an Accountant? I advise you to inform your company here in Qatar regarding your illness. They can be of great help on you at Med-Com, if they have no objection to hire you regardless of your health condition you may obtain a residence permit/work visa. Btw, what type of hepa you got? hepa-B or C?

Note: Elioswd--> hepa is a medical abbreviation for hepatitis, an infectious disease that can be traced on the blood.
