you do not have to worry. just have your marriage certificate attested by your home country embassy and MOFA. for the rest of the requirements, you can ask the Ministry of Immigration.

Hello my friend you can try to fix this one with your employer just simply issued you even its not real a salary certificate of 7000 per month just the condition that all your expenses to process the family is your responsibility i think your employer will understand your part especially it is family matters they are usually heart felt for this ok

You can have the baby legally, no problem, your wife will have free heath care at Hamaad.

The problem is though, how can your wife continue to say on a work visa when she is too pregnant to work? She can't stay in the country without sponsorship and you can't sponsor her or your child.

Your child will be able to get a birth certificate but not be able to get an RP without a family visa and so after a few months they will have to leave.

First of all both of you should have marriage certificate authenticated by deparment of foreign affairs on your country or if married here in doha is sealed by the embassy. I think no problem for the incoming baby because just what i've said both of you should legally married with having legal supporting marriage documents, but you cannot be the sponsor of your baby.

You know the a big question is who sponsor your wife as a maid? Is He/She (sponsor) allow that your wife will be pregnant? If I we're you I will put my self on safest way. I will send back home my wife and try to look for good job with competetive salary so you can sponsor your wife (husband sponsor). If you decide to send back home your wife, Her pregnancy should less than 6 months so the airlines can allow her.

It's best that you send your wife back home before she gives birth because it will never work out. Same thing happened to me. I ended up being deported with my baby. Before she leaves, she has to submit a letter to the authorities signed by her sponsor, to cancel the maid visa.

Once she has the baby, get their passport copies and apply for a family visa. If you really need to bring them back, bring them on a family visit visa. But just to be sure, go for the permanent family visa so you won't face troubles of being rejected again and again at the Labour Office before bringing them back.

You have nothing to worry if you’re holding your marriage certificate, duly attested by your embassy and MOFA. If you have not done the attestation, it’s imperative to start the process now as this may be a long winding procedure to be initiated in your country of origin. The same document is an essential requirement to apply for passport, birth certificate and visa for newborn.

If you’re a resident of Qatar, the visa sponsorship of your child will be under your name. As far as I know, the minimum salary requirement to sponsor a child will be waived off in case the same child is born here in Qatar.

The only complication I can see is the risk that your wife stays with you considering that she’s holding a household-type visa. Nevertheless, if you came up with mutual arrangement with her visa sponsor, you should worry more about your incoming child pertinent to childbirth preparation and his future. Here in Qatar, the expenses and cost of medicine are quite a burden. We paid almost 300 QAR for 3-day stays in Hamad Hospital and 6 QAR for medicine. Thank God we are away from our country (insert smiley here).

BTW, congratulations for being a father! You should be proud!

you should keep one letter from her sponsor so....... and....so that he has no any objection that she is living with her husband and meantime make sure that you have all legal paper that you both married and docs should attested by qatar forien ministry. even though please check with any PRO regarding this procedure. if you think this is high risk better send your wife back b4 5 months otherwise it will problem in airport. gud luck

This guy knocked up his maid and is now trying to figure out how to weasel out of it. He had previously posted something about how to abort a baby here in Qatar. He said he was a woman trying to abort an unwanted baby.

You should have used a condom brother.....now you're screwed..... LMAO!!

Your wife is in real trouble :),

you get ready with necessary Marriage certificate, your name in her passport.

Definitely it is not at all a problem if you have all these papers. No one says a maid can not live with her husband, dont worry.

Take care of your wife and celebrate soon with the New arrival.

as long as u have valid visas u can get her pregnant. it doesnt matter if she has a maid visa or ur uner the sponsorship of another company. the most important thing is that u have ur marriage certificate with u.

yes you can have children legally here as long as you and your wife are legally married and have a marriage certificate. Because when your wife go to hospital for check up and when she will deliver the baby in the hospital, the hospital will ask you to submit the marriage certificate. when you will register to have a Birth Certificate at the Supreme Council for Health they will again ask for the marriage certificate and when you will apply for your baby visa, they will not require for a NOC, just the baby passport, you and your wife passport and RP ID.

1.Go to the NATIONAL HEALTH AUTHORITY and fill application. When they issue cash receipt they will advise you to go to CID office at Industrial Area.

2.You should take a Guarantor passport and take him also to CID office in industrial area.

3.CID will issue a birth certificate and this will help you to take a temporarory PP to your baby.

4.Take this temporory PP to immigration and fill application for new Baby. Remember

(A) Baby + mother should go

(B) Wear good attire

(C)Go to abu hamour immigration early morning.(Officials are gentle)

5.Get the RP for the baby

6.After taking RP go to the CID office to take the PP of your friend.

7.CID chek the legality here.As per Qatar labour law any housemaid can't have baby.So most probably they might not give the PP

8.No problem

9.GO to the NATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS in midmac.Tell your story right from the begining.

10.They will issue a letter to Labour department to bring your wife sponsorship under you.

11.Do not waste single minute.

12.Any problem u send me email to [email protected], I can help within my limit.

13.Your baby is given by ALLAH only.He is the creator. So pray him and take the VISA.

BEST OF LUCK FOR THE CHALLANGE.

Friend,

You need not to worry about this... i hope it is not coplecated. With your sponser (wife) permission you can admit your wife in to Hamad Hospital, once baby deliverd you can go and register your baby on your Embossey and get pasport. After that you do the madical examination and let your baby with your wife for ever.

By IlovePajero• 26 Jun 2010 15:52

I am just thinking from layman point (not expert); I am sure husband and wife can be under different sponsorships (saw it earlier) so if marriage certificate is there, then there should not be issue from legal point of view. Family status by company just means that they will add benefit in the compensation and nothing else (means you need to buy medical for the new born).

Best of luck.

Better consult a lawyer as the matter is complicated, rather than asking laymen for guidance.
